Your AI already knows how to think. Now give it your business context.
Connect Workden to the ChatGPT or Claude environment you already use, where the provider supports it. Your AI coworker can retrieve approved business information, analyse your pipeline, find tasks, prepare drafts and propose actions — and Workden controls what it can reach and what it can do.
ChatGPT or Claude is the coworker. Workden is the workplace.
How it will work
Connect. Ask. Work.
Three steps, and the third is the one most AI features skip: a person deciding what actually happens.
1
Connect
Connect ChatGPT or Claude using the provider’s own supported connector and authorisation flow. No passwords, no session cookies, nothing scraped.
2
Ask
Ask your AI coworker about your pipeline, customers, tasks and the other Workden data you are permitted to see — from wherever you already use it.
3
Work
Review the drafts, tasks and proposed actions in Workden. You approve what happens; sensitive actions can require it.
The split that matters
AI proposes and prepares. Workden controls and records.
The conversation stays in ChatGPT or Claude. Anything that changes your business arrives in Workden as something you read, edit and approve first.
That is deliberate. An assistant that can quietly send an email on your behalf is a liability dressed as a convenience — so the useful half is automated and the consequential half stays with you.
AI prepares
- Ask in ChatGPT or Claude
- Connector checks your permissions
- AI reads only approved records
- AI analyses and drafts
You decide
- Drafts and tasks land in Workden
- You read and edit them
- You approve what should happen
- Workden sends, records and audits
In practice
Still knock on doors.
Still meet the client. Still pick up the phone. But imagine walking into that meeting with your entire business context in your pocket.
“What's the latest with James at Acme?”
Your AI coworker retrieves the permitted information through Workden. You walk in knowing the deal, the history, the outstanding work and what needs to happen next.
Technology didn't replace the relationship. It made you better prepared for it.
What comes back
- Deal value and stage.
- Last contact, and who made it.
- Outstanding tasks against the account.
- Recent notes and activity.
- What is scheduled to happen next.
Only what that person is already permitted to see in Workden. The AI inherits their access — it does not extend it.
The boundary
AI should work for your business. It shouldn't work around your security.
Workden never gives AI unrestricted database access. Every request runs through the same chain that already constrains the person making it.
- User, organisation, role, module, tool, permitted data — each step can only narrow what the one above allowed.
- Sensitive actions can require human approval.
- AI activity is auditable.
- Credentials and secrets are never ordinary AI context.
Where this actually stands
In developmentThe connectors described on this page are being built and are not available yet. What already exists is the permission architecture they will run inside — which is the part worth checking before trusting any AI CRM.
- We will not promise that every personal ChatGPT or Claude account can connect — that depends on the provider and your account or workspace type.
- Workden does not read your ChatGPT or Claude conversations.
- A consumer AI subscription is not a backend API account, and we will not pretend otherwise.
- AI will not do everything automatically. That is the point.
